CAPITAL GRAINS!

Did y’all hear the story about how very hard economic times fell on Egypt?  Yes sir, folks were starving and dying.  It was tough and they didn’t know where to turn, so they went to the government, yep, Pharaoh himself.  They wanted him to get them out of this mess. Oh, you thought this was a story about current events, didn’t you?  Well, if you listen real carefully, you might find that it really is. 

Now ol’ Pharaoh, being a shrewd sucker came up with a plan, so he could have his cake and eat it to.  He nationalized (you’ve heard that word before, huh.) all the grain harvest and placed every bit of the grain in huge silos that he had built.  Hey, but the folks were all still hungry.  “No problem.” said Pharaoh.  He told the folks that they could eat, if they bring him all their money.  You know, kinda of a capital grains tax.   So, Pharaoh was happy as a lark and the folks, all though broke, were well fed.  Pharaoh’s lil’ scheme went on for quite a while until the folks ran out of money.  There just wasn’t anymore left.

Well Pharaoh now had all the money, but he didn’t want his plan to stop, so when the folks came beggin’ again he said, “Okay guys, I’ll feed ya, but you gotta give me your livestock, your cattle, horses, sheep and even your donkeys.  Folks, you just have to look at as a small livestock tax.  I will give you enough to survive on, if you will do this.”  You know, they didn’t have a choice, so they did it.  They had a huge problem though.  All this livestock ran out after only ten or twelve months. Now they were broke and hungry again.

Once again, the folks had to go beggin’ to the big boy in the big house.  They were like whipped lil’ puppy dogs now, whimperin’ and beggin’.  They said, “Hey Pharaoh!   We need to eat, Sunshine, but we ain’t got nothin’ left, but our land and our bodies.  If we don’t get something to eat, well, we are just going to fold up and die on ya.  Then we won’t be no good to your or anybody else, don’t ya see?”  Well, Pharaoh did see.  He saw a way to get even richer and finally have complete control.  He stood up, put on his most sympathetic face and said, “Folks, being the kind hearted fellow that I am, I’m gonna help y’all out.  Now here’s what I’m gonna do.  Y’all give me all your possessions, which you have left and come under me and my government as slaves and I will feed y’all as long as you live.  You will never have to be hungry again.  We’ll call it the nationalization tax.”  Such a deal!  So the folks gave up everything to the big boy in the big house and were forever in his debt.

ON THE OTHER HAND, these folks never gave up their faith in God and they prospered.  They grew in numbers.  They became frugal and saved what little they could.  They began to buy back their possessions and once again were happy, thanks to their faith, not Pharaoh.  Yes God pulled them up out of the fire just has he had done others before them.

Today, Obama is Pharaoh, only ten times greedier.  He wants it all!  He and his administration wants a New World Oder where everyone is a slave to Islam, with no hope of working our way out.

The government today wants to "share the wealth" once again, to take it from us and redistribute it back to us a very little at a time.  It wants to take control of healthcare, just as it has taken control of education, and ration it back to us, and when government rations it, then government decides who gets it, and how much, and what kind.  And if we go along with it, and do it willingly, then we will wind up no differently than the people of Egypt did four thousand years ago, as slaves to the government, and as slaves to our leaders.  The turning to the government instead of to God to be our provider in hard times only leads to slavery?  That's the only reason the government wants to be our provider and our master?

Guys, if we do not learn from the very mistakes others have made before us, many, many times over, then were no better than an irresponsible drunk!  The lessons are over!  The final bell has rung!  If we do not get up off our butts and save this country, we truly will be just like the slaves of Egypt, and you have to wonder how many times will God allow us to make the same mistake and pull our butts out of the fire again!
