Well folks it looks like they are gonna do it to us again. We're not gonna have just one nasty lil' stimulus pill to swallow. No, this time it's gonna be th' whole dang bottle! We ain't even gonna have a glass a water to wash it down with. Heck, even Ol' Nancy Pelosi got $30 million in there for a little rat, in her state. No kiddin'! She thinks this lil' rodent is more important that folks workin'! So she flies her big jet around, burns fuel, pollutes th' air, and looks down and thinks of all those cute lil' boogers she's savin'. Bless her lil' heart! But hey, like I stated in a previous writing.......she's one of th' SPECIAL PEOPLE! Saving the rat ain't nothing though. In California, there are farmers and ranchers that will not be able to get any irrigation water, at all. Oh, there's water there alright, but they can't touch it. No sir, not a drop. You see they're these folks that are tryin' to protect a minnow. Yes, I said a minnow! Amazin' uh? Anyway they're tellin' the farmers that irrigatin' their crops will hurt or kill the lil' suckers. Of course, the food prices will go up and more children will not be able to eat properly, but what th' heck. We just gotta save that ol' lil' minnow! I mean th' "SPECIAL FOLKS" know what's best for us. These "Eco System" die hards are goin' just a lil' too darn far when they start messin' with our food and water! Am I right or Amarillo?
Now I'm tellin' you, things are gettin' tight. Real tight. We are heading for some bad times. Heck, I do not agree with hardly any of th' thinkin that's going on in Washington, but I sure hope they are right. They're not, but I hope they are. Sometimes "false hope" is comforting. Yeah, Washington's not gonna get it done. They gonna keep fighting over the scraps like a bunch of hungry pigs pushing each other from one trough to another. Oh, and speakin' of pigs, where did this cute lil' word "PORK" come from. Why don't we tell it like it is? You know gease, payola, graft, slice, taste, shaft, dis, payoff, conflict of interest, waste, or maybe CRIME. Now, let me give you my simple example of how this works.
First, let's say you wanna run for Senator, but you're a nobody, by "their" standards. Now the "their", that I speak of, are th' "wheels". If you're a nobody, and you're not rich, then you gotta know th' "wheels" to get elected. It's a shame, but that's our current system and that's a whole nuther subject. Anyway th' "wheels" say, "Look Mr. Nobody you seem to be a fella that knows our game and we gonna give you what you want, but, after you get in, we will tell you what we want." So you become a Senator and you feel important, but then comes payback time. Let's say you fight to get a new school in your State. You will get a call from one or more of th' "wheels" sayin', "Hey, I own a construction company and you gotta make sure I get th' contract even though my bid will be a lot higher than the other bids." So then you come to th' crossroads! What do you do? If you don't go along, your political career will probably be over. If you do go along, you know you will do this over and over again. Well, by this time you are already one of the Washington Elite. One of the "SPECIAL FOLKS". You are "untouchable" and you love it! So you go down th' wrong road and somehow try to convince everyone that it is the "road we must take". Sound familiar?
There is th' smell of a dead lil' rat or fish floatin' our way folks and it's gonna stick on us like a cocklebur! Think about pullin' together. Start thinkin' 'bout th' other fella a little. We are gonna need each other, in th' comin' days, months, and years, more than ever. I, TH' DUMB OL' EAST TEXAS BOY, will be thinkin' 'bout you and I'll keep givin' you some more opinions like these.
