Why is it that us senior citizens are always being picked on for almost every thing wrong in th’ whole wide world? I mean, we used to be respected. How’d we turn into villains? Nothin’ has changed; we still work hard all our lives, pay taxes and look forward to relaxin’ in our golden years. We do, just like always, take stock in what we have done and do not blame others for our own mistakes. So, after givin’ it some though we’d like to point out, that it was not us, the ol’ seniors who took:
· The melody out of th’
songs,
· The pride out of lookin’
sharp,
· The courtesy out of
driving,
· The romance out of love,
· The “I promise and
really mean it!” out of marriage,
· The responsibility
out of bein’ a parent,
· The closeness out
of the family,
· The learning out of
teachin’,
· The service out of patriotism,
· The Golden Rule
from th’ rulers,
· The nativity scene
out of th’ cities,
· The civility out of
behavin’,
· The manners out of talkin’,
· The pride out of doin’
a good job,
· The prudence out
of spendin’,
· And th’ satisfaction
out of achievin’ or God out of government and schools.
Oh, and we aren’t the ones, who took
patience and tolerance from personal relationships and dealin’s with others. We
do understand the meaning of bein’ patriotic and we remember those who have fought
and died for our country. I mean, just
look at those seniors with tears in their eyes and pride in their hearts as
they stand at attention with their hand over their hearts and you’ll see. We haven’t changed all that much.
So, I am a senior. I'm the life of the party, even if it lasts
until all the way to 8 o’clock. I'm very
good at opening them childproof caps on my meds, with a pair of pliers. I'm awake many hours before my body allows me
to get up. I'm smiling all the time
because I can't hear a thing most folks are sayin’. I'm sure everything, which I can't find, is in
a safe secure place, somewhere in th’ house.
Yeah, I'm wrinkled, saggy, lumpy, and that's just my left leg, don’t
even get me started on th’ rest. I'm
beginning to realize that aging is not for wimps or th’ faint at heart.
Yeah, I'm a senior citizen and I
think I am having the time of my life. So
what you say, you think you young smart folks could just let up on us a bit. We’re really not all that bad, and remember,
you too will get old. You cannot avoid
it. Then it will be your turn to accept
the blame. Hey, but hopefully, America will be
on track again by then. Us seniors will
pray that it is. God bless ya.
Want to thank Merlene Fritts for
passin’ this on to me. Merlene, hope you
don’t mind me addin’ a lil’ “dumb boy” to it.
RECITATION: "I am very proud, that I pray to and worship our Judea/Christian, God Almighty. I am very proud to be an American, who loves all his family and all his fellow patriots. I will defend the original Constitutional. I will defend the rights and lives of patriots to the best of my ability and, if time and resources permit will even defend other Americans, who may fail to believe as I do, but I will never defend a Muslim, believer of the Quran! They are my ENEMY and I DO NOT recognize their beliefs in Islam to be a RELIGION, and I never will!
Remember, be proud of, and promote, your beliefs! Be proud you're an American and promote that with pride! Be proud of your families and your fellow patriots and promote that with pride! And last, take some kind of real action and pray “everyday” for God to lead you correctly! Believe me.....this will lead to success.”” -- JOHN L SULAK ...and there you have some more opinions from me, Th' Dumb Ol' East Texas Boy. Take care out there, okay. IN GOD WE DO TRUST!
Couldn't have said it better myself...Kudos to you Sir!

Well, thanks for the kind words, Marilyn.
ReplyDeleteBecause you can't blame the snot nose, spoiled, lazy, dope crazed kids in universities, who turn over cars and the likes. Predators always come after the conceived weaker targets. And those who obey the laws in a Godly manner, don't cause enforcement officers much trouble either. I think it was called respect for authority, back in the day..?
ReplyDeleteYep Roland...back in the day. It is a shame that we allowed it to get backwards!
