IT ALL EVENS OUT IN THE END!

Heaven forbid, but God Almighty himself went missing.  All the angels in heaven frantically searched for him, every hour of every day.  They were desperate as they thought to themselves, “Where would we all be without God?”  

Six long, agonizing days had passed, when finally, Michael, the archangel, found God.  Michael said, “Almighty God most high, may I ask where you have been?”  God just calmly smiled, looked down through the clouds and pointed, “Not to worry Michael.  Look down at what I have made.”  Michael was puzzled as he asked, “What is it?”  God replied, “Why it is a planet and I’ve breathe life into it.  I’m going to call it Earth and it will be a place to test Balance.”  “Balance Lord, I am still confused?” Michael replied.  God proceeded to explain to Michael as he pointed to different parts of this new world.

"For example, that will be known as Northern Europe.  It will be a place of great opportunity and wealth, while Southern Europe is going to be poor.  See, over here I've placed a continent of white people, and over there is a continent of black people.  There will be Balance in all things."  God continued pointing to different countries.  “See Michael, this one here in the middle will be extremely hot and this one on top will be very cold and covered in ice."

Michael was very impressed, as he should be, God's work, then he pointed to a land area and said, "My Lord, what's that one?"  "That's Virginia, the most glorious place on earth.  There are beautiful mountains, rivers and streams, lakes, forests, hills, and plains.  The people from Virginia are going to be HONEST, handsome, modest, intelligent, and humorous, and they are going to travel the world.  They will be extremely sociable, hardworking, high achieving, carriers of peace, and producers of good things.” Michael gasped in wonder and admiration, but wondered where the Balance was in this.  He asked, "But what about balance, God? You said there would be Balance."  God smiled at Michael and said, "Michael, right next to Virginia is a place I named, Washington, D.C.  Wait ‘til you see the idiots I put there.  Trust in me Michael, there will be Balance!"
