IT IS A PRICKLY PATH WE HAVE CHOSEN!

A few years back, we had a surprisingly cold winter here in East Texas. A lot of the bugs and animals that weren’t used to this just croaked.  However, we had one group of them boogers, who decided that they would kinda snuggle together to keep warm and try to beat ol’ Man Winter.  Yep, some ol'  possums thought they'd figured it out.

Well, it’s a shame, but their dang quills poked the next possum to them and they all got wounded.  They stood this for a while, but they thought the pain was just a bit much, so they separated.  Yeah, you got it; they began to die from the cold.  So, the ones that were left decided they had to make a choice.  Kinda one of them better of two hurts things.  Yep, they had to either accept the quills of their companions or kiss their lil’ prickly hineys good-bye.

Ha, you know what they picked, don’t ya?  Yes sir, they decided to go back to snugglin’ up. They figured they’d be better off just livin’ with their wounds.  This way their bodies would give off the heat needed to beat the cold. They survived that winter and made it to spring.

Y’all gotta remember that the best relationship is not the one that brings together the very best folks. Naw, but when folks learn to live with other folks lil’ digs, then they might see some good in them other folks and them other folks might see some good in them (except for Obama, illegals, communist, socialist, marxist, atheist, muslims, and there friends, of course.  Couldn't resist).

Of course, the lesson in this lil’ story is:  Y’all gotta just learn to live with the lil' “pricks” in your life, which you can’t do anything about, and somehow, you will, painfully get by!
